Architect / Project Leader

ROLE:   5 days full-time

LOCATION:   Flexible, hybrid working between our Thame Studio in Oxfordshire and some home working

REPORTS TO:  Associate Architects

SALARY:   Dependent on Experience

Due to exciting new project avenues, we are looking for an energetic and self-motivated Architect to join our team and lead projects across the RIBA work stages from concept to completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Architect, who will be expected to help deliver an exceptional client experience across multiple complex projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design and lead some incredible projects, as well as support the Senior Team on others. They will be encouraged to grow and develop within the company, as they help build the profile and brand that is HollandGreen.

 

Job Context and Dimensions:

The tasks and responsibilities of this position cover, but are not limited to:

  • Lead projects and coordinate the design team from concept to completion
  • Provide an exceptional experience for HollandGreen clients throughout the design and build process
  • Deliver architectural projects of the highest quality with sustainability at the core
  • Contribute to the profitability of the Practice by delivering projects on time and to budget
  • Build highly detailed 3D models in ArchiCAD using survey information
  • Produce drawings and supporting documents for client presentations and planning applications
  • Produce technical drawings, specifications and packages for tender and construction
  • Coordinate designs with our in-house Interior Design and Landscape Design Teams, and liaise with external consultants
  • Visit and oversee works on-site and provide support to Project Leaders on construction information and contract administration

The successful candidate will be guided by senior members of staff and support the wider company by contributing to internal projects to help improve quality and efficiency. Dependent on progress, you may be given the opportunity to meet new clients and develop new business leads.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • ARB recognised Part 3 qualification in Architecture
  • At least 5+ year experience in UK practice, preferably in high-end residential or heritage sectors.
  • Proficient in ArchiCAD, Photoshop, InDesign and MS Office.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional architectural design skills
  • Strong planning, sustainable design and UK building regulation knowledge
  • Outstanding technical design and detailing skills with ability to articulate high-quality and detailed schemes, thinking and working directly within a 3D BIM environment
  • Experience in delivery of projects through RIBA stages 4-7, including production and coordination of all project’s drawings & information
  • Hands on experience with site inspections, running meetings and an intimate knowledge of JCT contract administration
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects with high degrees of accuracy
  • An ability to manage your own time and work to tight deadlines are key requirements for this position

Personal Qualities:

  • Great communication skills and able to build strong work relationships both internally and externally
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Enthusiastic, friendly and highly-motivated
