We are a multidisciplinary Design Practice of Architects, Interior Designers, Landscape Designers and Project Managers. Recognised for creating beautifully crafted buildings and landscapes, we are unique in offering an integrated end-to-end service from one Studio, managing projects to the highest standard of quality and detail. Our design approach is rooted in the art of personalisation - we take time to understand our clients' needs and tastes and embark on a transformative design journey towards a home that is uniquely and unequivocally theirs.

Responsible Design

Responsible design is very important to us. We are committed to making a positive contribution to carbon capture and storage within the residential property sector, aligning with our clients’ desire for sustainable, energy efficient homes, and enhancing how they interact with their environments.

Our People

Stephen Green and Ben Holland established HollandGreen in 2010. Today we are a team of 40 individuals, delivering commissions across the UK and internationally. We work in close partnership with Historic England and have extensive experience of the planning system. This expertise enables us to guide and oversee our clients’ projects, supporting and empowering them to realise their dream homes and gardens. We thrive on our collaborative approach across our three disciplines and aim to exceed expectations in all that we do.

Sustainability

Sustainability is one of our leading principles. We have significant experience in designing and delivering sustainable projects across new builds, period renovations and barn conversions. We endeavour to incorporate sustainable design solutions from the beginning of every project - from the initial sketches of the design concept through to the integration of systems and the materials chosen - all selected to have the greatest positive impact over the long term. Our Fabric First approach, which minimises the future energy consumption of a home, is one example, and we enthusiastically adopt Passivhaus principles where appropriate.

Biophilic Design & Healthy Homes

Biophilic Design emphasises the connection between people and nature. Research shows that biophilic design promotes cognitive function, physical health, and psychological well-being, and collaborating with our clients, we integrate biophilic elements to our designs. This create homes which foster stress reduction and enhance creativity through the use of natural light, natural materials and integrating nature-inspired shapes and textures, fabrics, colours and furniture.

Support of British Woodlands

We partner with the charity Woodland Heritage who support the creation and management of productive woodlands, delivering benefits including carbon sequestration and research into woodland health and biodiversity. We calculate the carbon used in our projects and the number of English Oak trees, which, over their lifetime, will offset this amount. We double this and donate the equivalent funds to support Woodland Heritage’s planting and educational activities.
