Our Sustainable design ambitions.

How we consider sustainability from the start.

The residential housing market accounts for a significant proportion of carbon emissions. Our aim is to create wonderful living spaces that tackle this, and we look to embed a sustainable approach in all our designs, right from the start.

We begin by conducting a site analysis to assess aspects like the sun’s path, to find ways to minimise energy consumption and energy loss. We then look at how we can enhance the building’s ‘envelope’ (walls, roof & floors) to ensure it is as thermally efficient as possible. And then we assess how technology can compliment the design.

Our ambitions.

Our goal is to marry thoughtful design with sustainable technologies; utilising solar panels, air and ground source heat pumps, thermal storage technology, rainwater harvesting systems and cutting edge batteries among others.

Two of our projects with sustainability at their heart.

Riverbank House is a contemporary new build that demonstrates how thoughtful design and the appropriate use of technology can work together to create a home that is energy efficient and still retains a beautiful aesthetic.

Ash House is another contemporary home where sustainability was a core principle in the design.  It was a finalist in the British Homes of the Year Awards 2020.

Sharing learnings.

We want our buildings to not only last for generations but be fit for purpose as our climate changes; we want to share our learnings across our industry in the hopes that we can make a contribution to fighting climate change.
