Creating your Garden Ambience
Turning your ideas into beautiful outdoor spaces
We are passionate about creating wonderful outdoor spaces that reflect your personal style and evoke the feel and atmosphere you want to achieve. We ensure the design links with, and frames your home, evolving over the years to become a key part of its overall holistic identity.
We work side-by-side with you from your first overall ideas through to the formulation of the brief, any planning recommendations, concept proposals, garden lighting and irrigation, and planting plans. By really understanding your brief and lifestyle – what you want your gardens to do – we create the perfect ambience that will fill you with joy every time your step into it.
A recently completed project
A family home renovation in Buckinghamshire included a full landscape design for their wrap-around garden. Below we highlight some of the aspects we incorporated into the design.
Overall, our clients were looking for a garden that exuded a calm and peaceful atmosphere, with a palette of greens and whites, and some stand-out features in garden sculpture and seating design. It was wonderful to hear from our clients that they have been waking up at 5am excited to just spend some time outside in the garden before the day starts!
We created a stepping stone path through the lawn, and a pod chair entwined with festoon lights to create a simple but effective focal point – perfect for relaxing in the garden, day or night.
The gentle sound of the Corten steel water feature also plays its part in creating a tranquil atmosphere.
We created a virtue out of necessity; drainage has been transformed into a design feature by installing a rain chain with a pebble-filled planter underneath. Now when it rains it’s an event, and forms part of the garden’s interactive design detail.
Contrasting foliage of lime greens and whites using ferns and other woodland plants gives an overall lush green planting finish and lends a sub-tropical ambience to the garden, with all visible from the kitchen window.
This contemporary sculpture is galvanised and the coral-like pattern then gilded in bronze leaf for an eye catching effect. It becomes another focal point in the garden and can be viewed from the house as soon as the front door is opened.
