Landscape Design Services

Our Approach

Designing your garden is a fun and enjoyable process.  We work with you to tailor our services, outlined below, to suit the scale of your project and transform your outdoor spaces.

We use a mixture of traditional hand sketches and the latest digital design technology in a collaborative approach throughout the design journey, always aiming to deliver an exceptional experience for our clients.

Phase 1 - Consultation

We start the process with an initial consultation and site visit to see the garden first-hand, building a picture of the site context and spending time to fully understand your brief, listening carefully to how you live and appreciating what you would like to achieve.

Phase 2 - Design

Feasibility Study – We produce an initial 2D plan to explore ‘the art of the possible’ with precedent imagery to articulate our ideas, together with an initial outline budget, a project timeline and a discussion of a planning and delivery strategy.

Concept Design, Developed Design & Planning – Once a design direction has been explored, we work closely with you to refine the designs and build a conceptual 2D Masterplan along with 3D drawings to help visualise the garden. As the designs develop, we explore options for materiality, planting, lighting and furnishings. We also coordinate with various consultants and produce necessary planning drawings and documentation to be submitted to the Local Planning Authority to discharge any specific requirements.

Detailed Design – This pack will provide all technical drawings and information required to move into the tender process, so that a landscape contractor can provide a quotation for the installation works. The devil is in the detail as we focus on quality and efficiently for a successful and enjoyable build.

Phase 3 – The Build

Tender & Mobilisation – A tender pack is put together and sent to contractors to quote. We are able to recommend trusted contractors, or we are happy to work with one of your choosing.

The Process – We can provide site inspections and additional support throughout the project. This typically involves site meetings with you and the contractors as well as hand-on advice and the positioning of all trees and planting on site.

Procurement – Using our network of specialist contractors and suppliers, we are able to source all garden furnishings, together with the trees and plants of the finest quality within your stated budget.

Handover – Once the garden is complete, we can provide additional advice and support as the garden evolves over time. A well-planned garden will evolve beautifully for years to come.

How much does it cost?

After the initial site visit, we will be able to offer you a fixed fee for the first design stages, which include Feasibility Study and Concept Design. The best approach is to establish an overall budget early on, which we can guide you through.

Further design stages are tailored to suit your requirements and based on a ‘Time Per Task’ methodology, with each stage and deliverable being flexible and bespoke to your project and choices.
